Douglas A. Nichols is President of Commercial Title Group, Inc. He has over 25 years of experience in the title insurance industry with extensive expertise in commercial underwriting, settlement and national multi-site transactions. Prior to joining Commercial Title Group as an organizer in 1990, he held various management positions with Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company in the National Title Services Division and as State Manager of Virginia operations.

Barbara G. Blitz is Vice President and Counsel of Commercial Title Group, Inc. She is a graduate cum laude of Lynchburg College with a B.A. in English and earned her juris doctor degree in 1975 from The T. C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. She began her career in the title insurance industry in 1975 with Chicago Title Insurance Company, serving in numerous counsel and management positions until 1990 when she left to organize Commercial Title Group. During her last seven (7) years at Chicago Title she served as Regional Counsel supervising all underwriting, claims and corporate legal matters for the company in its nine state Mid-Atlantic Region. Ms. Blitz is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Fairfax, Virginia and American Bar Associations, Past President and current Board member of the Virginia Land Title Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Agent-Abstractor Section of the American Land Title Association, and a member of Commercial Real Estate Women - Northern Virginia Chapter. She is a frequent lecturer at title insurance seminars sponsored by title insurance underwriters, and at continuing education seminars sponsored by state and local Bar Associations and Land Title Associations.
